What is the intention of the App?

The Coming Home: Mind, Body, Soul App. has been created to offer you a space to learn and practice methods of caring for your whole self: mind, body, and soul.

Over my decade + of working with individuals from embodied, holistic perspectives, experiential guided practices are a significant part of the work we do.
Common feedback I was hearing was how supportive the guided practices are but in daily life without the guided support the practices were a challenge to implement.
This challenge sparked my imagination and I received a vision of a way I could make the practices easily accessible from devices we tend to have with us daily while keeping them separate from platforms such as social media that often flood us with too much information …. an App!
After working over the last couple years with an incredible developer and slowly building up a library of eve growing resources, the Coming Home: Mind, Body, Soul App. came to fruition!

Features of the App.

The Coming Home: Mind, Body, Soul App. has a couple unique features

First, this App. offers video recorded teachings and practices that integrate Eastern and Western knowledge for the mind, body, and soul, bringing us back to the roots that were known long ago and are only now being backed by research, i.e. practices to support our nervous system such as working with our breath, grounding, connection to nature. The diversity of offerings and honouring the roots of teachings is an important aspect of this App., including the hopes to have guest teachers from varying backgrounds eventually.
You will find three different sections of video recorded content: Mind, Body, and Soul.
The first videos in each of these sections provides a detailed introduction and sample practice of the type of content you will see in the given section.

Second, the App. offer two “decks” of virtual cards to guide a short self lead practice.
One deck is a yin style experience to sit with an affirmation and receive the words, feeling into and observing how it resonates.
The other deck is a yang style experience with more active practices via physical movement through asanas or free flowing embodiment, pranayama (breath), visualizations, and intentional reflections to support discernment and contemplation.
Each card aligns with a chakra (energy centers) to support nourishing the different needs and experiences we have as human begins (safety and security, pleasure and flow, identity and confidence, compassion and peace, expression and truths, intuition and inner guidance, oneness and grace).
The option to choose between card decks allows you to practice listening to your intuition for what feels most supportive for you in the moment. The random selection of the card you draw invites in a trusting and surrendering experience to allow in that which you receive in a way that feels supportive for you.

The hope for this App. is to offer you new ways to express your curiosity to connect to your fullness on a deeper level, to come to a remembrance from within that you are worthy of taking purposeful space for yourself and to embody the sensations of love and safety that you are able to offer yourself.
